Canon 1D Mark IV Delayed

The initial release of the new Canon high fps flagship, planned for mid December this year, has been delayed for late January 2010.

I was expecting my copy for before Xmas and must say I’m a bit disappointed not to have my Xmas toy when opening the presents :) .

Rumours are that Canon are also updating a few of their L series lenses. This would concern some tele primes. My bet that the 70-200 f/2.8 L IS will be concerned (direct competition of the new Nikon 70-200 VR II) and I hope that the TS-E 90 mm f/2.8 would be redesigned and I’m highly interested in this lens and its design is from the early 90s.

Anyway, I heard of some major meeting early next week for high staffs @ Canon so some “big” decisions are expected to be made.

Stay tuned.
